In an effort to increase investments and encourage innovative growth in the Asia-Pacific region, the US, Canada and ten other nations from the Asia-Pacific region, have entered into an economic agreement called the Trans-Pacific Partnership. As the 12 countries account for roughly 40% of the world’s GDP and 1/3 of its trade, this is no small arrangement. But there are still many questions to be answered regarding this trade arrangement.
