Germany Leads EU Charge Against GMOs It’s the agriculture that traces back in part to laboratories,  where tweaks are made making the food either healthier, easier to grow, or more resistant to disease. In the European Union, GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) regulations are being debated with most countries calling for stricter controls. Germany’s new grand coalition government is not only fighting attempts by Brussels to loosen laws surrounding GMOs but has drafted a proposal to toughen them.  CCTV’s Jack Barton reports from Berlin, where the new coalition government is leading the anti-GMO charge.
